DD ENTERTAINMENTS – CUSTOMER TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. About DD Entertainments

 

DD Entertainments provides a managed booking service, connecting customers with trusted, professional entertainers and event suppliers for children’s parties, adult events, weddings, schools, festivals, corporate and family events.

 

DD Entertainments acts as the main point of contact throughout the booking process and manages communication, scheduling and event coordination.

2. Making a Booking

 

All bookings are subject to:

Availability of a suitable entertainer or supplier

Confirmation by DD Entertainments

Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

 

A booking is not confirmed until:

Availability has been checked

The booking has been agreed in writing

Payment terms have been confirmed and accepted

 

DD Entertainments reserves the right to decline a booking if event details, venue conditions or requirements are unsuitable.

3. Payments

 

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking and may include:

Full payment in advance

A deposit with the balance due before the event

 

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, bookings are only secured once payment has been received.

 

Failure to make payment by the agreed deadline may result in the booking being cancelled without notice.

4. Client Cancellations & Client Liability

 

Client Cancellations

 

In the event that the client cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, all payments made are non-refundable.

 

Once a booking is confirmed, DD Entertainments reserves the agreed time slot and commits the entertainer or supplier to the event. Cancellation does not release the client from financial liability.

Late Start, Delays & Force Majeure

 

In the unlikely event that an entertainer is delayed or unable to commence a performance due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to:

Client requirements or instructions

Venue access issues

Traffic or travel delays

Weather conditions

Power failure at the venue

Acts of God or Force Majeure

 

…the client remains liable for the full outstanding balance, as the booked time slot remains reserved and unavailable to other clients.

Venue Suitability, Access & Safety

 

DD Entertainments and its entertainers reserve the right to refuse to perform or cancel a performance without refund if:

The venue is deemed unsafe or unsuitable

Access to the venue is restricted, unsafe or not as described

Electrical supply is unavailable, unsafe or unreliable

Conditions place performers, guests or equipment at risk

 

This applies even on the day of the event.

 

DD Entertainments is not responsible for any venue-related issues, access restrictions or power failure.

Equipment & Technical Issues

 

All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure equipment reliability. However, DD Entertainments accepts no liability for loss of performance resulting from:

Equipment failure beyond reasonable control

Venue power failure

Third-party equipment provided by the client or venue

5. Changes to Bookings

 

If you request changes to your booking (time, date, location or event details), we will do our best to accommodate these, subject to availability.

 

Significant changes may result in:

A revised fee

A change of entertainer

The booking being treated as a cancellation

6. Entertainers & Substitutions

 

DD Entertainments reserves the right to allocate or substitute entertainers where necessary due to illness, emergency or unforeseen circumstances.

 

Any replacement will be of appropriate experience and suitable for the event type and age range.

7. Safeguarding & Behaviour

 

Children remain the responsibility of parents, carers or event organisers at all times.

 

Abusive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour towards entertainers, staff or equipment will not be tolerated. DD Entertainments reserves the right to pause or end a performance without refund in such circumstances.

8. Photography & Video

 

Photos or videos taken during events may be used for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the event.

 

DD Entertainments is not responsible for third-party photography or filming arranged by the client.

9. Cancellations by DD Entertainments

 

In the unlikely event that DD Entertainments must cancel a booking due to illness, accident, breakdown or emergency, every reasonable effort will be made to provide a suitable replacement entertainer.

 

If a replacement cannot be arranged, any payments made will be refunded in full, which will be considered full and final settlement.

10. Liability

 

DD Entertainments acts as a booking and event management service.

 

Liability is limited to the value of the booking fee paid. DD Entertainments shall not be liable for:

Circumstances beyond reasonable control

Venue-related failures or restrictions

Customer-provided equipment or facilities

11. Data Protection

 

Customer information is handled in line with UK data protection legislation and used solely for booking and communication purposes.

12. Acceptance of Terms

 

By making a booking with DD Entertainments, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

DD Entertainments reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply.
